dearest family - what a week this has been. it was transfer sunday yesterday. i am staying in a'dam. holler! probably my last transfer here. zr.hill is heading home and in her place i will have TWO companions. zr. moses from kaysville and zr. palenikova - my original mtc companion! woo wooooo! i am SO thrilled to be companions with her again - and of course zr. moses and i already are friends being from kaysville and her being super awesome. we will have quite the adventure! i shall keep you posted. well well well. i have a small post it note here with things i wanted to tell you.
firstly - we met a man in the park on tuesday. his name is kefali mamo. he is a journalist. he is here from ethiopia as a political refugee. he is sooooo coool! we had an appointment on thursday and we gave him a book of mormon. he said he would read it because everything we had shared with him didn't take away from his beliefs but would just help him be stronger! GOLDEN. he came to church yesterday and loved it but had to go before sacrament meeting, jammer! he is so sweet and really open to the good news we have to share! beauty!
secondly - things are going SPLENDIDLY with jenny! we were able to meet with her twice this week. on tuesday we met with her at the de Leeuw's for dinner. i made taco salad. haha. we shared with her the gospel of Jesus Christ. she loved it. we did my little gospel drawing activity where you draw how the gospel works in your life. it went really well. on thursday we had to meet in a small cafe - it was her birthday so i brought little cakes and a cute birthday banner thing for her to hang up at home. we talked about the "big three" or as i like to call it - the trifecta of salvation. prayer - scripture study - church attendance. it was great. for her bday we gave her a set of scriptures. :) classic missionary gift. we got her the bible and a triple of her very own. she is so hungry for the gospel! she read gospel principles in THREE DAYSSSSs. what up. so great. things are going well with her! she is so cool.
thirdly - roos is doing well! she is just naturally adapting herself to the ward and has so many friends and is such a part of things already. SO COOL. she did baptisms for the dead a few weeks ago. loved it. hallelujah!
fourthly - we went to a place called floriade(google it) in Venlo. a huge garden expo that happens only once in ten years. it was crazy! zr. hill got special permission because she was going home. we went with the saldens - a SUPER COOL senior couple here. he is from limburg and we enjoyed listening to him speak with this siblings in limburgse and realizing we dont understand any of it. - it was basically a family reunion and it was great. i will send photos next week.
fithly? is that a word? - I LOVE YOU ALLL. thank yuo for being my family. i am so grateful for all that you do for me. what a great blessing we have to be together forever. i am grateful every single day of my life. hallelujah! i love this gospel. its so real and applicable to EVERY SINGLE SOUL. every culture and person. i am studying the bom with a focus on the love of God for all people. i will share my thoughts with you when im done. its going well. because the bom is full of goodness!
well i must go! i love you all so much! thank you for being swell! lovesss
