dearest family and friends:

what a week this has been.

monday: pday with fabien. we adventured around haarlem. it was a delight! that night - after planning, i began to make borsh! only had time to make the bullion.

tuesday: amongst lessons and the regular hustle and bustle (mostly hustle)... i finished making the borsh during lunch. it was great. ukranians know what's up.

wednesday: had a wonderful lesson with the accordian playing roma lady! we also met her niece who is interested! also - had a wonderful lesson with fabien about families.

thursday: a grand grand grand day. elder kearen came to speak to our mission. and glory be it was fabulous! it was a conference of solid doctrine and truth. loved it. great great things. if we hadn't have had an appointment afterwards i couldve possibly passed out with joy and also fatigue from thinking so much. haha.

friday: weekly planning. ALSO: i got a new mattress! hallelujah!

saturday: whilst biking along, i hear someone say "dude.." in the most american way ive ever heard - i immediately turned around and went to talk to this group of tall and intimidating men, i say - are you american?! yes. they are an italian american group of BASEBALL players that play for italy. they are competing against the dutch. what in the world. we may go see them play if they have a game today! haha. it was crazy!!!!!

sunday: awesomeness. purely. we taught the investigators class again. we talked about faith. i did an object lesson using that knot trick that dad taught me...about winding the string and then turning it into a bunch of knots. turned out BEAUTIFULLY. i said that life is like this piece of string...we are told to wind it and wind it...not really seeing how we are getting anywhere, not making knots but being promised that it will happen...and if we have FAITH, we will be successful. golden. i learned a lot from that lesson actually. i'll send you the string, dad! :)

oh - also, sunday was transfer night calls. turns out, i am staying in haarlem.
HALLELUJAH im not quite ready to leave this place. i have so much more to learn.

okay - so this might seem like a short email. thats because it is. i'll tell you what though - this church is true. we have purpose to our lives. every single person on this earth has the power to change and become better. to learn and grow. we all have great potential. God does not waste time. He desires to bless us - more than we realize. we need only ask and ACCEPT his blessings! this week has been great and there have also been a lot of struggles. but i will share with you what has kept me going. this lies within the lyrics of a beautiful song.

i see my mother kneeling with our family each day
i hear the words she wispers as she bows her head to pray
her plea to the Father, quiets all my fears
and i am thankful that love is spoken here.

mine is a home where every hour
is blessed by the strength of priesthood power
with father and mother leading the way
teaching me how to trust and obey
and the things they teach are crystal clear
for love is spoken here

i can often feel the Savior near
when love is spoken here.
